The notes carried on the wind

The Waltz

How the little boy at the window would have loved to join in this dancing in the square. As they swirl and move, some are in the Italian dance to have fun and others to show of their dancing prowess. Oil on canvas 56 x 46cm SOLD

The Race

The riders raced through the Yorkshire area of Buttertubs and I started to think about the impact on the small villages up there when this famous cycle race came through the villages. After doing many drawings of the cyclists and the Yorkshire hills I settled for this village composition. Oil on canvas 41 x 52cm SOLD

Going for Gold

This painting was for the Olympic road race that went passed Hampton Court. I saw the riders as not only forming a coloured pattern as they whizzed by but also a group with strong dynamics flowing between them. SOLD

It felt good up there

Finding Richard

I was so impressed with the story of how the remains of King Richard 111 were located in a car park in Leicester that I felt inspired to do a painting of the scene. The yellow figure represents life, pulling Richard back into the world of the living. Acrylic on canvas 84 x 60cm
