A Fun Sunday

Painting called “A Fun Sunday” that completes my 5 new paintings in the series this year of beauty in women. Softness and love but with a certainty of their place in society and the conviction they will fulfill their potential.

“Taming the Tiger”

Another new oil painting for January. 59 x 42 cm unframed . Again, these women are confident. They stare at the viewer and are ready for life and challenge who the tiger is here. SOLD

Survival

This painting in oil on canvas was inspired by a quote by Norman Borlaug who was an american Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1970. He said “Man’s survival from the time of Adam and Eve until the invention of agriculture must have been precarious because of his ability to ensure his food supply”

Together we can make a difference

A new oil painting on paper. 60 x 49cm (framed). In this painting, I wanted to highlight the role we can all play in keeping our seas free of plastic and the land free of litter.

“Hills below Mijas

Not my usual style but I’m experimenting with making the landscape more dominant than the people. This is an imaginary landscape based on sketches and reference from my visit to Andalusia in Spain last year. Acrylic 60cm x 42cm

Two new paintings finished

These paintings are based on the same theme that as people flee wars, they take their treasured pets with them. Ukraine has seen terrible destruction but also acts of great kindness and sacrifice and it was this element that moved me to produce the two paintings here.
