This painting was inspired by that lovely feeling when you go into the garden at the first showing of sunshine after the winter. As you work in the garden it uncurls the tension to feel the sun warm on your face even as your hands touch the cool earth. Acrylic on board. 30 x 30cm SOLD

Her cat is feigning indifference but she feels drawn to the song of the lark that surrounds her. Acrylic on wood 30 x 30cm SOLD
Interesting creatures
Her oneness with her dogs and their interlocking shapes as they rest together was inspired by the sense one has of the understanding of mood that many animals have, particularly dogs. Acrylic on wood 30 x 30cm SOLD
The judges saw a serene performance

The Waltz
How the little boy at the window would have loved to join in this dancing in the square. As they swirl and move, some are in the Italian dance to have fun and others to show of their dancing prowess. Oil on canvas 56 x 46cm SOLD
The Race
The riders raced through the Yorkshire area of Buttertubs and I started to think about the impact on the small villages up there when this famous cycle race came through the villages. After doing many drawings of the cyclists and the Yorkshire hills I settled for this village composition. Oil on canvas 41 x 52cm SOLD
Going for Gold
This painting was for the Olympic road race that went passed Hampton Court. I saw the riders as not only forming a coloured pattern as they whizzed by but also a group with strong dynamics flowing between them. SOLD
